At the beginning of this year, Estuary Logistics were delighted to be awarded the BIFA Ocean Freight Award. According to the judges the company demonstrated a strong and reliable track record in the delivery of ocean freight services. This win was a fantastic start to the year for Estuary and motivation to reach for continued excellence throughout the rest of 2015.
As Estuary grew from strength to strength the decision was made to once again move to a new office with its own onsite warehouse, providing 35,000 sq ft of storage space with hanging facilities for garments. This move provided storage for incoming shipments, allowing just-in-time delivery.
The purchase of Don Ruffell Service Ltd, a Heathrow-based logistics company, in 2013 provided Estuary with an IATA licence and a Heathrow base. This move enabled Estuary to start dealing directly with the airlines, trimming end costs to the customers.
2012By 2012, James and his team of two had outgrown their original office and made the move to a new location in Basildon, which over the course of three years saw team Estuary grow from 3 to 19.
Within 4 months, James had moved Estuary into it's first office premises and had employed his first staff members.
Estuary Logistics started trading in April 2011 as a result of CEO James Circus' decision to create a much more customer-focused freight service, something that was missing in this sector at the time.
